"To me, Helping Hearts is a way I can provide some help to those who are less fortunate. When I was a little girl, I used to save up the money I got so I could use it to help homeless individuals. Helping Hearts gives me the chance to do this, while also meeting new and amazing people who share a common interest.”

"To me Helping Hearts is more than a club dedicated to community service, it is about the invaluable interactions between our members and the individuals we reach out to throughout the community. Our members come together to provide aid to the homeless population and a large part of that aid is fostering meaningful relationships with these individuals. We recognize that homelessness is a largely ignored and misunderstood endemic but Helping Hearts is committed to making positive change in our local community and starting a conversation that reaches even farther. My goal as part of Helping Hearts is to facilitate this change by continuing to build on the passion and ideas that our members bring to the table."

"Helping Hearts is a chapter in my life that allows me to do good, and give back to the community while building bonds with others who share the same passions. It is a rewarding experience getting to know the people of the communities we strive to help, knowing we have a chance to bring some light into their lives."

"Being surrounded by homeless people as I was growing up really made an impact on me. I always wanted to do something to help, but was never sure how to go about it. Upon finding Helping Hearts, I was really glad to be able to find a group of people who also wanted to make a difference in the same way and we are able to work as a team to help the homeless community in whatever way we can."

“Growing up in Bay Area, I was exposed to homelessness at a very young age and have been self-motivated to do something about it ever since. Helping Hearts gives me the opportunity to do this “something” by presenting me many volunteering and fundraising opportunities that help the underprivileged directly, while at the same spreads awareness about the issue of homelessness to the students of UCI.”
